Leftover moisture from yesterday's upper low combined with a pair of upper troughs descending from the northwest will generate scattered convective rain showers/alpine flurries today and tonight.
Passing upper troughs on Wednesday will once again generate rain showers/alpine flurries over the southern coast, southern interior ranges, and North Rockies. Meanwhile, a building ridge brings a drying trend to the northwest.
Flurries keep flying over the Columbias and Kootenays until late this week.
The ridge of high pressure over the northwest will strengthen and spread over B.C. this weekend bringing plenty of sunshine and a dramatic rise in freezing levels.
