A ridge of high pressure over the South Coast will continue to strengthen and build into the rest of the interior through the week.
A few showers or flurries are expected in the Purcells and Selkirks today, clearing on Thursday.
Freezing levels are on the rise, reaching 3000 metres on Thursday for the North Coast and 3500 metres on Friday for the South Coast. For the interior, freezing levels rising to 3000 metres on Friday.
Alpine temperatures rising to 8-12 Celsius on the warmest days.
An upper level trough will sweep across the province from the northwest on Friday to the southeast on Saturday, ushering in a cooler airmass for the long weekend.
